16. Not So Quiet Canal
| Not another canal shot! Well, this is Venice - what did you expect? Taxi drivers everywhere display scant regard for other road users, and Venice is no exception. Also, it's little wonder they have an erosion problem, this guy was making wash bombing it down into the Basin. Incidentally, this is just around the corner fron Harry's Bar. It's worth the inflated cost of a few drinks (4 or 5 times regular bar prices) to watch the looks on the faces of tourists who have wandered in for a few bellinis, somehow finish the jug, and are then presented with the bill. Particularly if they've had any bar snacks! (No, they're not always Americans.) |
