Lisbon Farewell
Empty glass at Sintra lunch.

| Thank you for taking this tour with me. I hope it has helped you decide if you would enjoy a trip to Lisbon. For myself, I found it to be a marvellous place to visit for 3 or 4 days, but after that I would want to move on. As I said earlier, if you stay on the nearby coast, you could have an excellent break relaxing and exploring the city when the mood takes you. The local communications are very good - buses, trams and trains are frequent except on Sundays or holidays, and cabs are easy to call and of a reasonable standard. Prices generally are cheap, especially food and drink - accomodation slightly less so, although at tourist level a better standard than say, Paris or Madrid. |

| "A perfect destination for a European citybreak - a proud city with a glorious past in an attractive setting. Lots of character. Good local excursions. Weather seasonable, but usually excellent. Cosmopolitan, relaxed and mostly honest residents accept visitors without fuss. Good value eating, drinking and shopping. English widely spoken." |
