19. Monument to the Discoveries - Belem
| Portugal is justifiably proud of her 15th and 16th century Explorers - Henry the Navigator, Vasco da Gama, Cabral and many others. This is a good monument to them half a mile from the Belem Tower, with an excellent map of the journeys of discovery set into the pavement nearby. |
