11. Comercio Square
| This is the view from near the ferry station on the Tagus looking north towards Baixa. Comercio is a vast square but really on the edge of thjings, surrounded by Government offices and a bit quiet and windy. The arch you see is the entrance to the real heart of the city. Behind us is the wide river, the ferries and the huge 25th April suspension bridge. |
