Square is probably the focal point
of the city and another good place
for people-watching. Several pavement
cafes here are ideal for lunch,
or maybe later another beer! There
are some beggars and street vendors
around, but they aren't aggresive
or too persistant, just in need
of basic marketing skills. The first salesman tried
to sell me a pair of cheap plastic
shades, although I was already wearing
Armani sunglasses. The next tried
to sell me a razor (I have a beard)
- another chap asked me for a cigarette
and when told I didn't smoke, still offered
me his collection of cigarette lighters for sale. My companion
said it couldn't be long before
a man appeared with a suitcase full of hairbrushes,
which I thought was a little cruel. |
