| This is what most people seem to visit Dublin for - its pubs. The global popularity of Irish bars, the relaxed attitude the Dubliners have to drinkers, indeed the central part that drinking plays in the culture - all combine to make this a boozer's paradise. The pubs themselves are of a generally high standard with decent food available at reasonable price and plenty of atmosphere, although the price of alcohol, particularly spirits, is higher than expected due to tax. Late bars abound but so, unfortunately, do late drinkers. |
