There are four beaches in Donostia, but the beautiful crescent beach around La Concha Bay is the best on the entire Bay of Biscay. The hotels along the front are certainly not the cheapest accommodation in the Basque region, but they have some of the best views. This is another town where having a car with you is both expensive and frustrating and there is no need, as everything you could want from a beach resort is nearby. Although busy in the season, the relatively higher prices here keep the hordes at bay and you will need to put on your best designer clothes to wander along the esplanade in the evening, if you want to fit in. As you walk in the walm scented air, you can decide which of the many excellent restaurants in the town to visit later, and enjoy the perfect holiday experience in one of the most pleasant surroundings in Spain.
