Durango isn't the one made famous by Bob Dylan, but nevertheless is well worth a visit. The arch, doorway or whatever is the only extant gate of the old city - there were six. For reasons I don't understand but possibly because the suburbs are quite industrial, Durango isn't rated highly as a tourist centre and of course this adds to its appeal - the restaurants particularly are very authentic and cheap. In fact, there's a cafe just behind this arch that does an excellent lunch.
