Modern Bilbao is pretty much contained by a bend in the river and Plaza Moyua sits right in the middle, half way along the Gran Via. The luxurious Hotel Carlton takes up one side opposite the building you can see above, the Subdelegacion del Gobierno, a government office. Something else you can't see is the modernistic Metro station entrance, designed by British architect Sir Norman Foster, he of 'wobbling millenium bridge' fame.
